Scholarship

Nicholas Hansmann, son of Wayne and Jennifer Hansmann of Pine City, was awarded the Excellence scholarship at Concordia College in Moorhead.

Dean’s list

Carina Guzik of Pine City was named to Hamline University’s College of Liberal Arts dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester.

Meghan Boster of Braham has been named to the dean’s list at Gustavus Adolphus College having earned a 3.7 grade point average or higher for the semester ending in May 2019.

Graduates

James Pixley of Grasston earned a bachelor of arts degree in Environmental Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College during spring 2019 commencement exercises on June 1.

Sandstone resident Logan Klar earned an Electrical Line Worker Technology degree following 2019 spring semester at Minnesota State Community and Technical College.

Courtney Schmeling of Hinckley recently graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) at the end of spring semester 2019. Courtney received AAS for Veterinary Technician Honors.

 

Connor Clark, B.F.A. Entertainment Design, Pine City High School graduate, graduated in May 2019 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

Military

U.S. Air Force Airman Michael B. Wahlberg graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Wahlberg earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Angela Mcneil-Olson of Rush City.
