On Saturday, Sept. 14, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be an apple growing workshop at Sapsucker Farms, 2752 – 215th Ave. Mora, MN 55051. Annie Klodd, UMN Extension Educator, will cover: site selection, varieties, rootstock, planting, maintenance, pest management and winter protection. There will also be children’s activities, including apple pressing and tasting, a scavenger hunt, orchard and hoop house tours and more.
