The public is invited to the Snake River Fur Post, Pine City, to discover the craft of making spear points and arrowheads from rock. By shaping stone into sharp tools and projectiles, ancient people were able to hunt animals as big as mastodons. Watch as modern flint knappers demonstrate their skills on Saturday, June 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To learn more, call 320-629-6356 or email furpost@mnhs.org.
