Experience the 19th century while learning the skills of a voyageur at the Snake River Fur Post, Pine City, during “Children’s Day” on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Celebrate the last days of summer with toys, games and tests of skill. Costumed interpreters  and hands-on activities will teach children about the values of trade goods and pelts, the canoe routes used by traders and the roles of the different groups who came together in the fur trade.
