On Saturday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon - 4 p.m., Sept. 21 and 22, celebrate a 19th-century rendezvous at the Snake River Fur Post, Pine City, as hundreds of re-enactors portraying Ojibwe, voyageurs and fur traders prepare for winter trade and camp along the Snake River. Participants can shop for historic crafts, join children’s activities, and witness feats of strength and skill as contestants vie for the title of best all-around voyageur. A highlight of the weekend is a festive, country dance with live fiddle music and lessons held outside on Saturday evening. For more information call 320-629-6356 or email: nwcfurpost@mnhs.org.
