There’s still time to register for Fairview’s low-cost sports physicals for student athletes
Fall sports practices are about to being. Does your student athlete need an upgraded physicial? According to the Minnesota State High School League(MSHSL), student athletes must update their physicals every three years. There’s still time to take advantage of Fairview Lakes Health Services’ convenient, low-cost sports physicals for middle school and senior high school athletes in July and early August. A simple, flat $25 fee is requested at the time of service.
These screenings now only fulfill the MSHSL requirement for all student athletes, but as an added bonus, a physical therapist or athletic trainer also will evaluate each student-athlete without additional charge. The physician will perform a general medical exam, and the physical therapist or athletic trainer will perform a bonus musculoskeletal exam. All athletes are asked to wear shorts, and female athletes are encouraged to wear sports bras.
