A Sartell woman was sent to the hospital for medical care after her vehicle was rear-ended by a semi truck on a County Road 11 exit ramp on the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 28.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Aug. 28 at 11:01 a.m., a 2011 Hyundai Elantra driven by Jodi Lynn Thurston, 53, of Sartell was stopped at the top of the ramp from southbound Interstate 35 to County Road 11 when it was rear-ended by a 2006 Sterling semi driven by Jama Mire Said, 39, of Burnsville.
Pine County deputies, Minnesota State Patrol troopers and Essentia Ambulance responded to the crash.
Thurston was taken to Welia Health System in Mora to be treated for injuries described as non-life threatening. Her passenger, Robert James Thurston, 47, of Sartell was reportedly not injured in the crash. Said was also reportedly not injured in the crash.
