Minnesota Governor Tim Walz visited the Pine County Fair on Thursday afternoon to meet the people and check out the action. He stopped in the beer garden and shared a few words with Pine County Fair Board President Pete Leibel and Pine City Lion Terry Rothenbacher.  Walz swung by the animal exhibits and got acquainted with Fair Board Member David Durheim and a few four-legged Minnesotans. The governor declared the pork chops delicious, and had a laugh with Rep. Nathan Nelson and his son.  After touring the exhibit halls, both Walz and Agriculture Commissioner Thom Peterson tried an ear of sweet corn before getting back on the road.
