Lorraine G. Koch

Lorraine Genevieve (Dunagan) Koch, age 84, formerly of Brook Park, died peacefully on Nov. 11, 2014 at Edgewater Assisted Living in Pine City.

Lorraine was born on May 3, 1930 to Frederick and Katherine Ingelston, in St. Paul. Lorraine went to school and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in 1948. During Lorraine’s high school years she met Robert Dunagan and they married in October of 1949.

Lorraine and Robert raised seven children while living in various areas of St. Paul. Once Lorraine’s children grew up and moved on with their own lives, Lorraine worked outside the home as a nurse’s aide. When Robert passed away, Lorraine decided to try the country life. She moved to Brook Park where she met her second husband, Louis Koch.

Lorraine enjoyed having her children visit her, collecting bird statues, watching and feeding the birds outside her window, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. One of Lorraine’s favorite things to do was to go out to her little old camper and listen to her music.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands: Robert Dunagan and Louis Koch; her brother, Robert “Uncle Bobby” Ingelston; her sister, Arlene Corcoran; and her grandson, James (Jimmie) Dunagan.

Lorraine is survived by her children: Jessi (Diane) Morgan, Patricia (Steve) Rolling, Richard (September) Dunagan, Robert (Betsy) Dunagan, Catherine Booker, Lorraine (Gary Lee) Dunagan, and Laura Dunagan; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Lorraine will be remembered for her sense of humor, quirky facial expressions when joking around and her love of life by the many friends and relatives that she made fond memories with.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for May 3, 2015 at St. Croix State Park per Lorraine’s wishes.

Arrangements are with Methven Funeral Homes; www.methvenfuneralhome.com.
