Nancy L. Sindelar

Nancy Lee Sindelar took her last flight to heaven on Jan. 9, 2020, from Northern Pines Assisted Living in Pine City at the age of 72.

Nancy was born on Jan. 10, 1947, to James and Dorothy (Wanous) Sindelar in Pine City. She resided in Burnsville for the majority of her life until recently relocating to Pine City.

Nancy enjoyed a 44 year career as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines now known as Delta Airlines. She loved traveling the world, seeing new places, and meeting new people. As she would say, she didn’t need to go on vacation, because she was seeing the world through her job. She shared many jokes, stories of her travels, and thrived from seeing the delight of others.

If Heaven has a dock, we know Nancy will be on it. Nancy’s love of ice fishing began as a young child. She had many birthday adventures of ice fishing on Cross Lake and also enjoyed fishing off the dock on the Snake River in Pine City.

Nancy is survived by her sisters Karen (Louis) Chalupsky of Las Vegas, Nevada and Carole (Loren) Samuelson of Pine City; nieces and nephews Aaron (Marcy) Samuelson of Fargo, North Dakota; Holly (Robby) Dahlen of Wayzata, Steven (Elizabeth) Chalupsky of Falls Church, Virginia; Amy (Aaron) Perry of Baltimore, Maryland; Jill Griffin of North Tustin, California; many other relatives and friends.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Nancy’s memory may be directed to: American Cancer Society, 950 Blue Gentian Rd, #100, St Eagan, MN 55121

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to: Funeral and Cremation Service of Pine City – Swanson Chapel.
