Stanley A. Teeman

Stan Teeman passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at Ecumen of North Branch at the age of 96.

Stanley Arvid Teeman was born May 20, 1923, to John and Alice (Stark) Teeman in Harris.

Stanley served his country in the United States Army Air Force from March 1944 to November 1945. In 1950-1951 Stan worked civilian construction at the Garrison Dam in North Dakota and built Air Force barracks in Greenland 1951-1953 and again in 1955-1957. He owned and operated the Fish Lake Pavilion in Harris from 1954-1965. He also farmed in Harris during the years of 1958-1986. In December of 1958, he married Lorna and together they had a son, Ronald. Stan married Margaret on July 6, 1979, and along with her children they all became a family. Upon retirement in 1986 they moved to Pine City.

Stan was a faithful member of several organizations: Rock Creek Lions, Heath-Perkins American Legion Post #51 for 75 years, longtime member of the Masonic Lodge and 70 years as an Osman Shriner. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Stan is survived by his children: Ron Teeman of Pine City, Charles (Diane) Higgins of Sandstone, Michael (Jackie) Higgins of North Branch, Patrick (Mary) Higgins of White Bear Lake, Kathy (Jeff) Nelson of Rush City; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Jackie Anderson and Cindy Demko, both of Minneapolis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents John and Alice Teeman; wife Margaret Teeman; brothers Russell Teeman and Robert (Dortha) Teeman; sisters Dorothy (Fillmore) Lindberg, Mary Ann (Ernie) Anderson; brother-in-law Richard Amlee; daughter-in-law Cindy Teeman; stepson Alan Higgins.

Pastor Lee Beecher officiated at funeral services for Stan on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City. The interment took place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Beroun.
