NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE

2018 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT AND FOR THE 2019 STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND THE REVIEW AND UPGRADE OF THE LIFT STATION FOR BEAVER POND

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Pine City will meet in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on August 7, 2019, to consider adoption of the proposed final assessments for the 2018 Street Reconstruction Project in Pine City.  The area to be assessed for such improvement is Industrial Street NE between the center line of Airport Road and the center line of 2nd Street NE; Rypkema Road NE between the center line of Airport Road NE and 2nd Street NE and on Madeline Court NE between the center line of Rypkema Road NE and its terminus, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§ 429.011 to 429.111.  The final cost of the improvement is $945,266.00.  

The Council will also consider adoption of the proposed final assessments for the 2019 Street Improvements and for the review and upgrade of the lift station for Beaver Pond in Pine City.  The area to be assessed for such improvement is 9th Avenue, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§ 429.011 to 429.111.  The final cost of the improvement is $49,720.00.  

Copies of the final assessments will be available at the hearing.  

Upon conclusion of the public hearings the City Council will determine whether or not to adopt Resolutions #19-46 and #19-47 accepting the final assessments.

SUMMARY MINUTES OF THE

CITY OF ROCK CREEK

July 8, 2019

Mayor Johnson called the Rock Creek City Council meeting to order at 7PM.

Members Present: Dan Saumer, Sam Christenson, Dick Johnson and Joe Babolik. Absent: Pam Hinze.

Others present: Ron & Sue Gardner, Jeremy Chouinard and Nancy Runyan.

Saumer moved seconded by Babolik to approve the June 6, 2019 minutes. Motion passed unanimously.

Saumer moved seconded by Christenson that the City declines a 2020 donation to the Initiative Foundation. Motion carried all ayes.

Christenson motioned seconded by Babolik to order the materials needed to fix the erosion problem on 570th Street from Ferguson Waterworks and rent the required equipment. Motion carried all ayes.

Christenson motioned seconded by Babolik to send the Minor Subdivision/Ron & Sue Gardner back to the Planning Commission for further discussion regarding Zoning Ordinance Requirements. Motion carried all ayes.

Saumer motioned seconded by Johnson to change the August Council meeting to Monday August 5, 2019. Motion carried all ayes.

Babolik motioned seconded by Saumer to approve payment of check #’s 14846 – 14884 and e-transfers totaling $30,703.40. Motion passed all in favor.

Babolik moved seconded by Christenson to adjourn at 8:37PM. Motion passed all in favor.
