The Rock Creek City Council will conduct a public hearing on June 4, 2020 at 7 PM at the Rock Creek City Center.

The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss amending Zoning Ordinance #60.

Adding to the Definitions – Farm Animals: Cattle, hogs, bees, sheep, goats, poultry, horses, and other animals commonly accepted as farm animals in the State of Minnesota. Livestock: Farm animals kept for use and profit. Access: Approach, the right to enter, use. Driveway: A path for vehicles from a street to a garage, house.

Entrance: The act of entering, a place to enter.

Section 1000.22: General Requirements. Subd. 3: Culverts and Access/Entrance, Item B - change the required minimum thirty-two (32) foot long culvert to: Residential property - minimum of a thirty-two (32) foot long culvert, Agricultural property - minimum length of culvert to be determined by Road Supervisor and/or City Maintenance Operator. Item C – change or remove: All access/entrances to driveways must be at least twenty-four (24) feet wide.

Adding to Section 1000.32 - Building Permits Required, Subd. 1, Move item G to H, item H to I and item I to J. Item G becomes: The property owner has six (6) months to remove the existing residential occupancy dwelling when replacing it with a new dwelling. The six (6) month period starts with the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for the new dwelling.
