“It is tough to play three games in five days, especially if all three are on the road,” said coach Hasz. “We were proud of the kids for finding a way to get the job done against a very scrappy East Central team who came into the game with a very good 15-5 record.”
The Dragons led 29-19 at half time and were up by as many as 15 points in the second half, but East Central battled, hitting big shots to keep themselves in the game. The Dragons had very balanced scoring with five players in double figures. Lily Wilson had 14 points and Sophie Lahti had 14 points each. Ellie Hasz had 11 points. It was another good week for Pine City girls basketball as the Dragons have five more games to get ready for a run in the playoffs.
