Pine City Volleyball has eight returning players to their varsity roster and several battling it out to earn their spot and some varsity playing time.

The team will look to senior Ashley Faur and junior Ellie Hasz offensively, and senior Makenna Nelson defensively. Nelson will also be the team’s primary setter.

The Dragons have set their goal to improve on their last season’s 9-2 conference record and to play further in the sectional playoffs. Mora and Braham are very competitive teams and always a favorite match-up.

“This group of girls will be a lot of fun to watch,” said coach Tami Nelson. “They work well together and can definitely put the ball down.”

Pine City will be hosting their “Pink Out for a Cure” game against East Central on Thursday, Oct. 3. You can follow the Dragons on the Facebook page, Pine City Volleyball.
